Galen Williams is a Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor and Cannabis Executive. He is also the interim CEO for MD Exclusive, a California-based CBD company backed by medical professionals. He holds an extensive background and experience in business as well as cannabis. In this episode, we discuss the bigger and broader topics such as diversity, racial stigma, and unnecessary incarcerations due to the war on drugs. These topics, unfortunately, are not addressed enough in our industry. Allyson Sprinkel is the owner of Pepper Lee CBD. In this episode, she walks me through her journey in cannabis and how she has developed her CBD brand with the help of her community. She specializes in making a bath, beauty, and wellness collection with Organic Vermont-grown hemp and craft CBD in Winooski, VT. By using avocado, grapeseed, or coconut oil, she makes salt scrubs and coffee scrubs with other herbs and infusions. Her techniques are more or less elemental and herbal rather than formulaic or pharmaceutical. She believes that wellness is about what you put into your body. That’s why all of her plant matter is grown in the northeast of Vermont, an unspoiled and untouched part where Hemp grows.
Harold Jarboe, also known as The Old Hemp Farmer, is a fellow podcaster and the Vice President and Marketing Director of Tennessee Homegrown. Mr. Jarboe was raised in rural Southern Indiana where his father’s family had a farm. This is where Mr. Jarboe learned more about agriculture and encountered his first Cannabis plants which were hemp plants growing in the wild. That encounter with hemp led him on a journey studying Cannabis that still continues today. In 2000, Jarboe started researching different agricultural techniques of commercially farming Cannabis in anticipation of eventual legalization. In June of 2014, the cultivation of Hemp was legalized in the state of Tennessee. At this time, Harold decided to switch from growing high THC Cannabis to growing high CBD Cannabis and Hemp.
