Lacey Lorr’Quin is the Holistic nutritionist, transpersonal hypnotherapist, life coach, and Creator of 360 Whole Wellness. In this episode of DANK Discussions, Lacey joins Maynard Breslow to talk about her journey and her hope to make a positive impact on the wellness side of the cannabis industry.
It has been 8 years since Lacey decided to turn her life around and live a life filled with wellness practices and positivity. In 2013, she weighed in at 300 lbs and felt like there was nothing at all that would motivate her to take care of her body in a healthy way. By 2015, she had stopped eating fast food, drinking soda, and only ate in a protein bulk format with lots of leafy greens. Deciding to follow a more biblical diet, she started cutting out pork, catfish, and seafood. In Louisiana of all places, this is no easy feat. She became open to learning and receiving more advice from others in her community. A few months later, she began to eat on a plant-based diet and this is when the southwest institute of healing came into her life. With all of these new alternative healing vices on her side, Lacey then went through the training and certification to become a holistic nutritionist.
From Complete Square to Cannabis Smoker
Lacey says from Pre-K to college, her parents strictly taught her drugs were bad. When she went to college she tells me that was when she truly found her independence. With this newfound freedom, she went to a house party and tried cannabis with some friends who were smoking it. She felt like she had been missing out on it for such a long time after trying it. She fell in love with the creative energy she could tap into and being able to focus on reading passages for her schoolwork. Down the line, someone had asked her if she knew about CBD. This opened the door for Lacey to start distributing and selling CBD and advocating for it in her own way. Lacey strongly believes that CBD helps with anxiety, pain relief, depression, PTSD, and ADHD. CBD is here to enhance us with minerals that will help our bodies in numerous ways. With 360 Whole Wellness, Lacey says that her first course of action with any new client is to start with their mind. She aims to make sure her clients are in the right mindset first before starting their wellness journey. This will transition the thinking of using CBD as a harness to the jump that is your own action.
Challenges for Cannabis in the South
With her business located in the south, Lacey says it’s challenging to get people to even try products. She finds that people who work in most of the union jobs such as construction or industrial factories are the ones who really need CBD the most, but refuse to even try it. Fighting against the negative stigma has been very difficult for Lacey, but she stays positive that people will become more educated over time and learn to love CBD without any preconceived notions.
Just a spiritual being having a human experience.
Lacey is a strong believer that whatever you resonate with in life is part of your personal journey. She expresses that she loves every living creature no matter what it is. For her, it is easy to stay positive during her process because her heart is more open rather than hardened. We as human beings are more than flesh and blood. Just like we have our mother’s and father’s DNA, we also have our own natural DNA. Lacey feels like it’s her mission to help people on a mind-body, spiritual, and emotional level. People learn by doing, and Lacey tells me that this exactly explains her journey. So many times, we think we have to go through a whole process to make a decision when in reality all we need to do is take the first step. No matter what resources you have or the preparation you take, you will still face failures. We must challenge ourselves to be persistent in being our best selves and learning from those failures. As a firm believer that success is being on the prowl comfortably, lacey emphasizes that we must make ourselves comfortable enough to step outside of our invisible barriers and keep pushing, striving, and seeing ourselves or our businesses reaching our own personal vision of success.
